Long before the Grand Gimeno was even close to being finished, Katie and Dalton booked it on a whim based on renderings and a quick site visit. Months later, the former YMCA located in the Orange Circle became the perfect venue for their family and friends to celebrate Katie and Dalton's "I Dos." What started out as a rainy October day quickly turned into a beautiful early evening wedding. Their ceremony took place under a canopy of olive trees out in the garden centered by a beautiful deconstructed arch of pinks, creams, and mauve florals created by Chesca Makes Things. And during the ceremony there was definitely not a single dry eye as everyone watched Dalton not only give his vows to Katie, but to his new son, Jesse, too.
And as cocktail hour came to a close, guests were invited into the grand reception space with rustic hardwood beams and Mediterranean tiles. Being the artist that Katie is, she handmade each table number and hand-dyed every linen napkin that adorned each place setting. And with some artistic help of family too each guest got to take home a custom ceramic ornament with "loved" stamped into it. The details were absolutely breathtaking!
Having known Katie and Dalton for years it was so special to see their families come together as one, but more importantly seeing Katie, Dalton, and Jesse officially become a family. They made sure Jesse was every bit a part of the wedding as they were and it was just too sweet to watch. Congrats to the Hintz family! Wishing them all the best in their new adventure.
