Last year I got to help two sisters down the aisle: Anna and Emilee. In April I helped Anna and Harry with their wedding at the Brea Community Center, and it was there that I met her sister Emilee and her fiancé Harrison. They had just booked the Griffith House for their October wedding and needed help getting to the finish line, so I was so excited when they hired me.
When it comes to DIY weddings, Emilee was the queen. She made all the signs, décor, and even made gift bags for all the kiddos that were placed on a tiny table for them to decorate mini pumpkins. She even made her own wedding cake! Every detail was carefully thought out when it came to her guests having a great time. I think my favorite detail though was her dress. Her mother saw it at a thrift store and Emilee knew it was the one. Seriously how perfect it that?
Food was one of the most important factors for Emilee and Harrison, so they opted into hiring Banchan A La Carte from LA, and man did they have quite the spread of Korean food. There were 5 longs buffet tables filled with spring rolls, chicken skewers, tons of seafood, kim chi, and noodles. It was the most impressive spread I have ever seen at a wedding. Needless to say guests were going back for seconds and thirds.
Emilee and Harrison danced the night away with all their friends and family and even snuck in some High School Musical songs that everyone belted to. I always love getting to know my clients and their families throughout the wedding process, so it was double the fun helping the Kang family twice in once year. Thank you all for a great 2022!
