From the moment I met with Melyssa and Ivan I knew their wedding day was going to be special. I asked them what mattered most on their wedding day and they said making sure their faith and family's cultures were front and center. From then on we spent the next 10 months planning a wedding that perfectly told their story. Their wedding festivities took them all over Los Angeles from their first look in Downtown, the ceremony at their church in Eagle Rock, and a beautiful sunset reception at the Forme LA in Burbank.
Melyssa and Ivan had their intimate first look at a small park that overlooked DTLA, the perfect backdrop.
Their ceremony was held at their home church in Eagle Rock with the most beautiful architecture.
Melyssa and Ivan snuck off to the back lot of the Forme LA for some sweet sunset portraits while their guests enjoyed cocktail hour.
The Forme LA's beautiful indoor space was filled with both round and rectangle tables that were styled with simple bud vases and hurricane candles. Melyssa and Ivan's sweetheart table was framed by a gorgeous deconstructed arch created by Rachel of Dogwood Florals.
After dinner Melyssa and Ivan did several outfit changes in honor of Ivan's Mexican heritage as guests were serenaded by a mariachi band and then into traditional Indonesian outfits as Melyssa's family performed an Ulos ceremony.
And of course the night ended with cake and a fun sendoff for Melyssa and Ivan as everyone wished them a happy honeymoon in Europe.
